About the Book

Colby Asher loved his life… right up until he died. Now because of one fatally stupid mistake he’s stuck haunting his college campus. With no idea what is keeping him trapped, he’s quickly losing hope of ever moving on. Until he sees freshman Emmy Zane.

More importantly, she sees him.

Emmy is a spunky, guarded introvert determined to fly under the radar for the next four years. She has her own reasons for staying in the shadows, and a flirty, obnoxious ghost won’t change that. But Colby’s demands for answers become impossible to ignore, and Emmy is pulled into a partnership she never wanted and a deepening connection that defies logic. As they piece together clues around Colby’s final night, they discover that moving on requires more than just solving a puzzle—it requires facing truths they would both rather keep buried.

Featuring a supernatural cast from southern Maryland history and folklore, Meet Me in the Graveyard is a haunting, heartwarming journey through the fears, flaws, and love that make us human.

Melissa Fourcade Adams

I’m a proud Maryland girl (yes, I love my state flag), and proof that ADHDers can focus on long projects if the project is engaging and meaningful, and if we can periodically take breaks (sometimes for two months…).  When I’m not writing one of the half-dozen stories floating around in my head, I enjoy reading other people’s stories, letting my attention loose through photography, singing in my church choir, and buying treats for my niece and nephew.  I’m a public school English teacher with instructional experience ranging from AP Literature, to Yearbook, to Culture and Media.

In 2020 I started new graduate coursework in Educational Psychology, and I am passionate about learning more in this vital field and exploring ways to weave that knowledge into my stories.  Meet Me in the Graveyard is my first published novel.
