About Us

About TRB:

The Reading Bud aka TRB is a book blog and a cozy hangout for all the book-dragons. Here you will find a continuous stream of book reviews and occasional graphic novel reviews along with a few other bookish posts.

TRB is created and run by author Heena Rathore P. (me.) I am an author and a professional book reviewer. I get paid to review books for magazines, websites, and universities. I do post the paid reviews here, but of course, the reviews done by review-contributors are not the paid ones. I receive review queries and requests by independent as well as traditional authors, publishers, and publicists from around the globe.

I am also a NetGalley reviewer. I’m listed on all the major book-reviewing sources and I am open to accepting review requests from self-published authors.

If you’re interested in getting your book reviewed on The Reading Bud then please read our Review Policy and fill out the form there. Please note that these reviews are done for free .
But if you are interested in getting your book reviewed by me on a priority basis then please check out my paid Book Review section.

If you’re not sure then check this out: Free book reviews Vs Paid book reviews.

  1. Thank you for following my blog 🙂
Dropping out of a course that one doesn’t like is usually the best thing one can do (same from my experience).
Looking forward to more thriller reviews from you 🙂

      1. On my blog the posts are all categorized with dropdowns from the menus you see at the top. There is also a Search For Sumfink on the siderbar. Check out the India posts one day. I’m not after extra ‘traffic’, but I would value your opinion on my opinion of your beautiful land.
        Thanks, Spike

    1. OMG! Thanks a lot dear 🙂
It’s really an honour and I am really happy to accept it. 🙂
Please don’t mind if I post about the award and pass it on next week (I have 2-3 pending posts already!)
      Thanks again 🙂

  2. Hi Heena, I just saw you are following my blog. Thank you! This inspired me to read a little in your blog. It is great what you’ve already done in your young age and how convinced you are walking through life and seem to enjoy it. I love the fresh way you write! Looking forward to some possible interaction!

    1. Hello Erika. I found you through a common blog, and I’m really glad that I did! Thanks a lot for the sweet encouraging words! I did have a hard childhood, but somehow I’ve managed to get over all that 🙂 It feels good now, really good to be burden free! I’m looking forward to get a copy of your book 🙂
Thanks a lot for visiting my blog and acknowledging my subscription to your blog.
I love bloggers who really interact, and I’m also looking forward to interact (a lot) with a kind author like you 😀
      Thanks again 🙂

      1. Dear Heena, it always amazes me to see people taking over responsibility for their lives in order to make it their lives. You seem to be an amazing woman and you probably grew right because of the hard times in your life. You are full of life and your heart shines through your eyes. In your young age you know what you want from life. Only few people in your age can say that. Also I was far away in many sections of my life. I love to read more from you and thank you for also connecting via facebook!

And before you start thinking of me as a crazy stalker who follows you everywhere, lol ;), I’d like to say that I’m a social media junkie! I’m almost on all social sites and I love following awesome people (like you) 😀
I’m really glad that we met through blogging.
          Have a great day!

    1. Thanks a lot Rob. You’re so sweet. I don’t do posts on each award separately, so I’m gonna have to wait till I receive atleast 2-3 more awards to post about this. But I’m really honoured to recieve this award from you 🙂
      Thanks again 😀

  4. Hello dear friend
Thank you for visiting my site. I post a music Throwback Thursday every week and think you’ve stopped by before. I’m late with my follow up. My health has slowed me down. Have a great day and hope you stop by again.

  5. Love your blog! I’m in London but have my roots in India, and I’m really interested to read more of your posts.
I’ve started with your Pet Sematary review – I used to read a lot of horror novels but haven’t for many years. But your review has made me think about picking some up again!
Really looking forward to reading more of your reviews.
