Summary

Because of some financial crisis, Jeffrey D’Asange tries to kill his family and commit suicide himself. After killing his wife he takes his daughters in the car on a spooky snowy way and drives like a maniac, they get off the road and the car gets hit by a tree. Surviving, he takes his daughters into a near-by deserted cabin and tries to kill them by shooting. But as he was about to shoot the elder daughter something grabs him and breaks his neck, The daughter can’t see the creature as she is not wearing glasses. Now the sisters are left all alone with this creature in the creepy cabin!

After 5 years two guys from a search party come to the cabin and find the two sisters in feral state. Then their uncle (father’s identical twin) meets them and after a sorting some issues takes them with him along with his girlfriend.

What happens next is worth watching. If I keep writing I’ll end up revealing the things that make Mama “Mama” (hope you get it!)

 Review

I loved this movie from the start. The entire time it kept me on the edge of my seat. The roles played by the young siblings is wonderful. They really look creepy and scary, specially the young one! And Mama is no doubt one of the scariest ghosts I’ve ever seen. Said all that, what I thought cute was the love and care Mama showed for the young girls. Though I loved the movie and “Mama” I would have liked a different ending. The last scene was a bit amateurish. It just didn’t fit with the rest of the movie’s level.

At some points I really jumped and shouted and was just about to leave the theatre, but that’s what we pay for when we’re in for a horror movie. If you like to watch some serious scary movies then you really can’t miss this one.

I loved this one too it was really scary. I like when a horror movie really is creepy because a lot of times they advertise it as being horror and it turns out to be crap. That wasn’t the case with Mama. Really had me freaking out from start to finish.

Yep. They just advertise lousy scary movies that way!
