Love, roses and pot-pourri!

Hey everyone!

We went to an amazing Travel Fest on Sunday and had an amazing day there inquiring and planning travel to various places we had in mind for the next year, including, Rann Of Kutch, Himalayas of Jammu & Kashmir, Nepal, Andaman and Nicobar and of-course, Europe.

To end the perfect we went out for dinner at our favourite restaurant and Vishal surprised me with a bunch of light pink roses. They were so adorable and smelled so good that I was totally mesmerised by them. It’s a big deal for me as I’m not a rose-lover! Vishal gets me only out-of-the-world beautiful roses (Last to last time he got me light blue ones! He’s so thoughtful, I really love him!)

I absolutely love flowers and it really breaks my heart to throw them away after a while when they dry-up. I try to keep a lot of them pressed in my books, but they are just getting piled up as Vishal gets me a hell lot of flowers. I’ve always wanted to try my hand at pot-pourri, specially after reading about it in a book I read not long ago, Charmed. So, I thought that’ll try and make it with these lovely roses.

I Google-searched the process and stuff needed and found this great video which has it all: How To Make Home-made Pot-pourri.

I’ve already kept the rose petals to dry. Now I’ll have to wait for 2 weeks for them to be dry enough and then will do the remaining process. Will keep you posted about it’s progress.

I think pot-pourris are best way to use flowers, at least for me, because in this way I can really show Vishal how much his love and flowers and mean to me 🙂

Let me know what you think about my pot-pourri idea and also about your favourite flowers 🙂

The pink rose is exquisite! Pot-pourri is an excellent way of using the rose petals. Let us know how it works.
