About

The Reading Bud is for my love of books and sharing my favorites with you.

Hey there, my name is Heena and I am the creator and administrator of The Reading Bud. I am from Pune, India and work as the Editor-In-Chief at Citrus Publishers. I am a writer of dark fiction, manuscript critic and fiction-writing teacher. A published author of 2 books, I love book blogging and reviewing books as well as hosting authors for promotion on my blog because that is how my own writing journey began.

My online profile name is Crazy Cat Writer and I am a Bookstagrammer and a BookTuber who creates fun book-related videos for my IGTV and YouTube channels.

You can read more about my novels on my website. If you want to connect with me for some bookish gossip and nerdy conversations then I can be found here:

About The Reading Bud

The Reading Bud is a book blog and a cosy hangout for all the bookworms, dragons and whatever being you consider yourself to be! Here you will find a continuous stream of Book ReviewsAudiobook ReviewsGraphic Novel ReviewsAuthor InterviewsGuest Posts, Cover Reveals, Excerpt Reveals and other bookish posts.

At TRB, I review books that I read – these include the books I buy, issue from libraries, request from NetGalley or the ones offered to me by authors and publishers for review. I also do paid reviews here (only when I am really constricted for time) as well as on other websites and e-mags.

I respect authors, publishers and publicists alike and believe in helping the book community as much as I can!

I also run a bookclub, both online as well as offline – RMFAO. The main online one is a Goodreads group. There is also a Facebook closed Group – RMFAO and one on WhatsApp where mostly we decide our monthly book meets.

The Reading Bud has a significant online presence and enjoys the luxury of having its own snazzy accounts. You can have a look at them here: Facebook | Twitter

If you want to request a review of your book then check out TRB’s Review Policy or Contact directly.

If you want to promote your book or are looking for an author interview and/or guest post host, then read more about our book promotion service here: TRB Book Promotions

  1. Thank you for following my blog 🙂
Dropping out of a course that one doesn’t like is usually the best thing one can do (same from my experience).
Looking forward to more thriller reviews from you 🙂

      1. On my blog the posts are all categorized with dropdowns from the menus you see at the top. There is also a Search For Sumfink on the siderbar. Check out the India posts one day. I’m not after extra ‘traffic’, but I would value your opinion on my opinion of your beautiful land.
        Thanks, Spike

  3. Hi Heena, I just saw you are following my blog. Thank you! This inspired me to read a little in your blog. It is great what you’ve already done in your young age and how convinced you are walking through life and seem to enjoy it. I love the fresh way you write! Looking forward to some possible interaction!

    1. Hello Erika. I found you through a common blog, and I’m really glad that I did! Thanks a lot for the sweet encouraging words! I did have a hard childhood, but somehow I’ve managed to get over all that 🙂 It feels good now, really good to be burden free! I’m looking forward to get a copy of your book 🙂
Thanks a lot for visiting my blog and acknowledging my subscription to your blog.
I love bloggers who really interact, and I’m also looking forward to interact (a lot) with a kind author like you 😀
      Thanks again 🙂

      1. Dear Heena, it always amazes me to see people taking over responsibility for their lives in order to make it their lives. You seem to be an amazing woman and you probably grew right because of the hard times in your life. You are full of life and your heart shines through your eyes. In your young age you know what you want from life. Only few people in your age can say that. Also I was far away in many sections of my life. I love to read more from you and thank you for also connecting via facebook!

And before you start thinking of me as a crazy stalker who follows you everywhere, lol ;), I’d like to say that I’m a social media junkie! I’m almost on all social sites and I love following awesome people (like you) 😀
I’m really glad that we met through blogging.
          Have a great day!

    1. Thanks a lot Rob. You’re so sweet. I don’t do posts on each award separately, so I’m gonna have to wait till I receive atleast 2-3 more awards to post about this. But I’m really honoured to recieve this award from you 🙂
      Thanks again 😀

  5. Hello dear friend
Thank you for visiting my site. I post a music Throwback Thursday every week and think you’ve stopped by before. I’m late with my follow up. My health has slowed me down. Have a great day and hope you stop by again.

  6. Love your blog! I’m in London but have my roots in India, and I’m really interested to read more of your posts.
I’ve started with your Pet Sematary review – I used to read a lot of horror novels but haven’t for many years. But your review has made me think about picking some up again!
Really looking forward to reading more of your reviews.
